Spanish Red Wines
Imported direct from micro producers in Spain

DO Bierzo Pittacum Barrica 2003 £17
Bodegas Pitticum is located near Arganza, a town with great winemaking heritage, in the beautiful Bierzo region. It is made from Mencia grape and is sourced from 50-90 year old vines. Organic fertilisers are used and green practices are employed throughout the vineyard. This stunning wine has an intense cherry-red colour and is marked by a complex bouquet, including cherry, liquorice, woody hints and spices and a firm mineral backbone.

DO Bierzo Tilenus joven 2005 £15
This is a young wine produced from the Mencía variety, ruby red in colour with bluish flashes. The bouquet displays a broad aromatic range, highlighted above all by wild fruits, raspberry, strawberry and cherry, as well as floral fragrances. To the palate, the contrast between the luxuriousness of the wine and the freshness typical of the Mencía variety is outstanding, all reinforced with a fine and elegant tannin.

Spanish White Wines

Rioja Gran Familia DDoC £17
A classic white rioja, light fresh and aromatic. Viura and Malvasia grapes create a prefect balance of luscious fruit and refreshing acidity. From one of the region best Bodgegas, a perfect accompaniment to Tapas and Meze.

Greek wines

Mavrodaphne of Patras £12
A truly remarkable, luscious full bodied dessert or aperitif wine, tasting of raisin, muscovado sugar and plum. Produced from the Mavrodaphne grape grown in the vineyards of Patras in the north of the Peloponnese, planted on slopes overlooking the Gulf of Corinth

Kourtaki Retsina £13
Some people say that Retsina, the resinated wine produced in Greece since ancient times, is an acquired taste. I'll agree - I acquired it immediately. It is the "quintessential Mediterranean wine", applauding it as an accompaniment for all types of Mediterranean cuisine and like most Greek beverages, such as ouzo, it is undeniably at its best when combined with Greek foods, especially the savory mezedes served at the Sun and Moon.

Cava

Freixenet Cordon Negro £13
One of the world's most famous sparkling wines, this is the benchmark against which all Cava is judged. Extremely fresh with a good balance of fruit, displaying the classic characteristics of its traditional grape varieties.

Champagnes

Louis Dornier £19
A classic champagne with fine sparkle and delicious taste.

Moët et Chandon Brut Imperial £30
A definitive emblematic champagne combining generosity of blend with maturity and freshness.

Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut £30
Bollinger’s Spécial Cuvée Brut is a perfect example of the combination of freshness and the taste of the fruit. In spite of its name, this is truly a “great classic” for this house, which, since 1829, has remained at the highest level. This Champagne offers delicious aromas of white fruit, toasted bread and brioche, and will easily accompany an entire meal.

Rosé wines

Mateus Rosé £12
Appealing bright rose-pick in colour with wild strawberries on the nose and a fresh sprittzy palate. Lively and refreshing,an ideal accompaniment to seafood, salads and tapas.

Sparkling Rosé - Marques Monistrol £14
A vintage cava produced using the traditional method. Elegance, style and finesse

House Wine — Faustino Rioja £10/bottle
Red, White and Rosé available A lively wine with ochre hues, reminiscent of a vine leaf in Autumn. An aroma which is very well defined, beautifully combining the vanilla from the oak with the freshness of the grapes. On the palate it gives excellent balance in the mouth, velvety and elegant with a very intense, persistent finish.
